Remembering Bonnie Moye


It was Saturday, October 31, 1959 when a baby girl named Bonnie Smith was born to Charlie and Mindie Oleta Smith in Fouke, Arkansas.  Throughout her journey, Bonnie touched the lives of many.  

After a life well-lived, Bonnie Moye of Fouke, AR passed away Sunday, June 20, 2021 at her home.  She will remain in our hearts forever.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Mindie Oleta Smith; sister, Gwen Nivens; brother, Jimmy Smith; and daughter, Brandy Moye.

She is survived by her husband, Tim Moye of 34 years; daughter, Tonja Ballinger and her husband Daniel of Genoa, AR; sons, Edwin Gregory and his wife Lisa of Texarkana, AR, and Bo Moye and his wife Felica of Cantonment, Florida; brother, Johnnie Smith and his wife Viola of Stephenville, Texas; 19 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren who all loved her dearly.

Mrs. Shirley Ann Lofton

It was Sunday, May 30, 1943, when Shirley was born to James and June Shockley in Vallejo, California.  Shirley attended school in California and graduated from Redwood High School. She later went on to college to become an accountant.   

In August 1998, Shirley married Mr. James Lofton.  She was a loving wife, great cook and gardener for many years. She was also a member of Williams Memorial Church of God in Christ, and she loved the Lord.  

Shirley was a resident of Nashville, Arkansas, and she enjoyed crocheting especially blankets.  At the age of 78, Shirley gained her angel wings peacefully on June 9, 2021 in Hot Springs, AR. May she rest in peace.

Shirley was preceded in death by her father, James Shockley; brothers, David Shockley, Gordon Shockley, Nicholas Velcoff and John Velcoff; and her sister, Vickie Martinez.

Shirley leaves to cherish her memories: husband, James Lofton; son, Samuel Maroon Jr.; stepsons, Demeche Lofton and Jeremy Lofton; grandkids, Samuel “Trey” Maroon III and Kameron Maroon; great granddaughter, Kaylee Mae Maroon; sisters, Lynette Shockley, Loreena Penhall and Linda Shockley; brothers, Tom Velcoff Jr. and Allen Shockley; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
