/Reflections of Her Life
Mrs. Shirley Ann Lofton
It was Sunday, May 30, 1943, when Shirley was born to James and June Shockley in Vallejo, California. Shirley attended school in California and graduated from Redwood High School. She later went on to college to become an accountant.
In August 1998, Shirley married Mr. James Lofton. She was a loving wife, great cook and gardener for many years. She was also a member of Williams Memorial Church of God in Christ, and she loved the Lord.
Shirley was a resident of Nashville, Arkansas, and she enjoyed crocheting especially blankets. At the age of 78, Shirley gained her angel wings peacefully on June 9, 2021 in Hot Springs, AR. May she rest in peace.
Shirley was preceded in death by her father, James Shockley; brothers, David Shockley, Gordon Shockley, Nicholas Velcoff and John Velcoff; and her sister, Vickie Martinez.
Shirley leaves to cherish her memories: husband, James Lofton; son, Samuel Maroon Jr.; stepsons, Demeche Lofton and Jeremy Lofton; grandkids, Samuel “Trey” Maroon III and Kameron Maroon; great granddaughter, Kaylee Mae Maroon; sisters, Lynette Shockley, Loreena Penhall and Linda Shockley; brothers, Tom Velcoff Jr. and Allen Shockley; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
